A Thank You, a Reflection, and What Comes Next

When I started All Florida Pickleball three years ago, the goal was never just to run tournaments.

The goal was simple, to make pickleball an asset to the community. To show that this sport while competitive, fast-growing, and exciting could also be welcoming, social, and impact communities in ways never seen before. We proved that pickleball could raise money, bring people together, and do real good beyond the court.

Looking back now, I truly believe we accomplished that mission.

Over the past three years, All Florida Pickleball has grown in ways I never could have imagined. We’ve been fortunate to be voted Florida’s number one pickleball event provider three years in a row an honor that still feels surreal in a state that lives and breathes pickleball. But more than titles or recognition, what matters most is the impact.

The relentless focus on creating events that respected players’ time and energy. No long wait times, amazing value, community focused venues and an experience that felt like a break from daily life. Everything brought something fun, positive, and worth looking forward to. At every event, the goal was the same: create an environment where competition and kindness could exist side by side.

If you’ve ever attended one of our tournaments, you’ve probably heard me say this in a short pre-game meeting: you never know what the person across the net is going through.
Yes, it’s a tournament. Yes, it’s competitive. But you can still be a good person. That mindset has always been at the core of what we tried to build.

Through this journey, pickleball has taken me on incredible adventures. I’ve met thousands of people I never would have crossed paths with. I’ve formed lifelong friendships. And together, we’ve raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for nonprofits supporting causes both within and beyond the pickleball world. From helping kids build brighter futures to giving hope to people navigating challenges most of us can’t imagine, the ripple effect of this community has been powerful.

What’s been especially meaningful to see is how that spirit has spread. Charity tournaments are popping up everywhere. Players, organizers, and communities are leveraging the sport in beautiful ways. Pickleball is doing exactly what we hoped it could do and more.

That’s why this moment feels less like an ending and more like a completion.

All Florida Pickleball is coming to a close, not because the mission fell short, but because it was fulfilled. What we set out to do has been done. And that brings a deep sense of peace and gratitude.

I want to thank every player, volunteer, sponsor, nonprofit partner, and supporter who made this possible. There were tough moments along the way with real challenges behind the scenes but this community carried us through all of it. None of this happens alone.

As for what’s next? I’ll still be around. You’ll see some future projects and ideas take shape. For now, I’m looking forward to something simple: hopping into open play and doing fun stuff with my friends.

Thank you for believing in this vision. Thank you for showing up with kindness, generosity, and heart. And thank you for helping prove that pickleball can be an asset to the community.

I look forward to seeing you all on the courts.
