Fantasy Pickleball at AFPL Stop 1: Everything You Need to Know
Stop 1 is here. Pros are arriving. Brackets are locking in. And if you want a piece of the action without picking up a paddle, fantasy is how you get it.
All Florida Pro League fantasy turns every match at Stop 1 into a strategy game. You build a roster, you ride the leaderboards, and you compete all season long. Free to play. $200+ in prizes. No gimmicks.
Here's everything you need to know before picks lock.
What is AFPL fantasy?
AFPL fantasy is the official fantasy game of All Florida Pro League. You pick players and a team for each event, you score points based on real match results, and you climb two leaderboards: the Event Leaderboard for that single stop, and the Season Long Cumulative for the bigger race.
There are two tracks:
- Pro picks (AFPL) — Pick from the All Florida Pro League Teams and Players
- Amateur picks (MiLP) — Minor League Pickleball, the fun focused amateur event that runs alongside AFPL events.
You can play one. You can play both. The more you plan the higher chance you have of winning prizes!

How submission works
Set up one fantasy identity and reuse it all season so your cumulative score gets recorded. The season long winner earns the Grand Prize! All you need is your name, phone number and email.
Pick rules: build your roster
For each track you enter (Pro or Amateur), the rules are the same:
- 2 male players
- 2 female players
- 1 team pick
The roster constraint that matters most: your 4 player picks must come from 4 different teams. No stacking. No shortcuts. Your team pick can be any team, including one you already drew a player from.
That cross-team rule is the heart of the strategy. You can't just back the deepest roster — you have to spread risk and find value across the field.
Submission lock at 8AM Saturday morning before the matches begin.
How fantasy scoring works
Two scoring systems run in parallel: one for your players, one for your team pick.
Player scoring
For each non-Dreambreaker® game your player wins, points are awarded based on the format and the margin of victory.
Base points (winners only):
- Gender doubles win: 4 points
- Mixed doubles win: 5 points
- Loss: 0 points
Margin bonus (winners only):
- Win by 3–5: +1
- Win by 6–9: +2
- Win by 10+: +3
Add the base and the bonus — that's the player's score for that game. Losers score zero. The takeaway: dominant winners pay off bigger than narrow ones.
Team pick scoring
Your team pick scores off the overall team match result. Both sides earn something unless it's a sweep:
Match scoreWinner ptsLoser pts
- 5–0
- 10 pts to winner
- 0 pts to the loser
- 4–1
- 8 pts to winner
- 2 pts to winner
- 3–2
- 6 ts to winner
- 3 ts to winner
Leaderboards: where you live all season
Once submissions lock, the leaderboards take over.
- Event Leaderboard — single stop, single weekend. Your Stop 1 ranking lives here.
- Season Long Cumulative — your total across every event you've entered. This is the long game.
- Pro vs. Amateur tracks — separated, so AFPL and MiLP players compete in their own pools.
Each leaderboard tab also surfaces a player-level points breakdown, so you can see exactly how every pick scored. Useful for bragging rights. More useful for adjusting your strategy at Stop 2.
Prizes: free to play, real money on the line
AFPL fantasy is free to play. $200+ in prizes are on the table, and the structure rewards both individual stop strategy and long-haul consistency:
- Event competition — win Stop 1 outright on the Event Leaderboard.
- Season cumulative race — stack points across every stop and chase the season title
