Lund Sports Foundation Inc. and All Florida Pro League Announce Strategic Partnership

Sarasota, Florida — The Lund Sports Foundation Inc. and the All Florida Pro League (AFPL) are proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership focused on building stronger communities, empowering youth and young adults, and creating life-changing opportunities through the sport of pickleball.

This partnership brings together two organizations with a shared vision: developing athletes both on and off the court while using sports as a platform for leadership, mentorship, social development, and lifelong opportunity.

The Lund Sports Foundation Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to youth development, leadership growth, sports access, wellness, and community impact, will work alongside the All Florida Pro League — one of Florida’s premier professional pickleball organizations focused on developing players and building community-centered competition throughout the state.

Together, the organizations will create programs, events, mentorship opportunities, scholarships, sponsorship pathways, leadership training, and community initiatives designed to positively impact youth and young adults throughout Florida and beyond.

“This partnership is much bigger than pickleball,” said Matt Lund, Founder of Lund Sports Foundation Inc. and Owner of the Sarasota Manatees Pro Pickleball team of the AFPL. 

“Our goal is to help young people develop confidence, leadership skills, discipline, social connection, and opportunities that can impact the rest of their lives. We want to create an environment where athletes, families, businesses, and communities come together to support one another and build something meaningful.”

The partnership will focus on several key initiatives, including:

• Youth and young adult leadership development 

• Mentorship opportunities with professional and high-level athletes 

• Community outreach and engagement programs 

• Scholarship and sponsorship opportunities for developing athletes 

• Wellness, fitness, and life-skills education 

• Building social confidence and teamwork through sports 

• Creating pathways for athletes to pursue higher levels of competition 

• Connecting businesses and sponsors directly to athlete development journeys 

• Supporting underserved communities through sports access initiatives 

The All Florida Pro League has rapidly become one of the most exciting team-based professional pickleball leagues in the country, emphasizing player development, community engagement, and creating opportunities for rising athletes throughout Florida. (pbproleagues.com)

Through this partnership, the Lund Sports Foundation will help establish resources and support systems that allow players and families to access mentorship, training, development opportunities, and long-term support both athletically and personally.

“This partnership creates a unique bridge between community development and professional-level opportunity,” said David Tabb from the All Florida Pro League. “Together, we can inspire the next generation of leaders and athletes while continuing to grow the sport of pickleball across Florida and beyond.”

The organizations plan to launch collaborative programming, community events, fundraising initiatives, youth development clinics, leadership workshops, and sponsor engagement opportunities later this year.
